The International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN)
SquareWell Partners becomes a member of the ICGN. 14 May 2021
Established in 1995 as an investor-led organisation, the International Corporate Governance Network’s mission is to promote effective standards of corporate governance and investor stewardship to advance efficient markets and sustainable economies worldwide. ICGN’s policy positions are guided by the ICGN Global Governance Principles and Global Stewardship Principles, which are implemented by: (1) Influencing policy by providing a reliable source of investor opinion on governance and stewardship; (2) Connecting peers at global events to enhance dialogue between companies and investors around long term value creation; and (3) Informing dialogue through education to enhance the professionalism of governance and stewardship practices.
Five SquareWell members will contribute to ICGN’s efforts globally. Heloise Courault, Co-Head of ESG Research, stated that “SquareWell is excited to be joining ICGN and contribute to its efforts to enhance governance and stewardship standards globally. We need investors to be effective stewards of their investments to ensure that companies are well-governed that respects not only the rights of its shareholders but all of its stakeholders”.
