Louis Barbier, Partner at SquareWell Partners, gives an exclusive interview to Les Echos. In this interview, Louis argues that “ESG activism” is not over, but will have to adapt to the current market dynamics or it will lose credibility.
First of all because in “ESG”, there is “G”, for Governance. And the “G” is alive and well. Some groups will emerge from the current crisis stronger, others will not. The latter run the risk of finding themselves under fire from activists calling them to account and criticizing management due to this underperformance.
