The article highlights the increasing importance of shareholder activism, particularly in a market environment dominated by passive investment. Key findings from our survey include:
- 84% of institutional investors believe companies with poor governance are likely targets of activism campaigns.
- 71% expressed the strongest support for board-related activism, including governance improvements and leadership changes.
- The most valued attributes of credible activism were persuasive arguments (87%) and track record (71%).
- Activism is widely viewed as a catalyst for positive change, driving responsibility, transparency, and long-term value.
